Each group must find 5 proverbs or idiomatic expressions from Portugal, England, France, Spain and Somalia.They present these proverbs or expressions to the class: they try, with gestural language, that the rest of the class understands the main idea of each one of the expressions. Then, they try to find the correspondent expression in the other languages, specially in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish, because only one student speaks Somali. The idea is to make them be aware that proverbs and idiomatic expressions are very interesting, they’re a part of the culture of the countries, they may say the same thing with very different words, but they almost always have a correspondent in other languages.
