I think he meant that words change (possibly limit) the way we perceive our experiences and that language is at the core of our experiences. We use words to express and even just understand ourselves what we've been through. Since we need words to also comprehend how we feel, words could also be a limitation when it comes to understanding our experiences. For example, sometimes experiences leave us with feelings we can't explain or "can't put into words" an although the experience is still significant regardless of whether or not it can be expressed in words, there's still something missing from the picture. This is what Huxley meant when he said "words form the thread on which we string our experiences". Words can mold our understanding of our experiences, which makes them a part of the core of our experiences.

Objective words exist to a small extent. Almost every single word in the English language has a connotation. Words with the same denotations could have different, underlying connotations. For example, "juvenile" and "youthful" have the same denotation, but the meaning is very different. Youthful has a very positive connotation, while juvenile has a negative connotation. Each word has its own almost-hidden meaning. Humans associate their own experiences with words. Every word is linked to certain experiences and every person can interpret each word differently. Objectivity is almost nonexistent when it comes to language. However, there are a number of words that stay neutral or true to their denotation.

All words will have a connotation, and it is possible the more common the word the stronger a connotation it may have. There are words specifically used in more matter-of-fact and factual contexts, and they could arguably more objective. For example, I consider words like 'big' to have fewer connotations than 'magnanimous'. Also, the language used will effect the extent to which its words can be objective. On the other hand, it can be argued that words themselves only have connotations based in the context of the sentences they're used in. So the words themselves have little objectivity or subjectivity, but its the way a text is formatted, structured, its content, what it does not say, and the more stylistic devices that are used.
