This is my first year at UCP but my 10th year in Education. I am the Assistant Principal but have held the positions of a Pre-K, 1st and 2nd grade teacher. I did not know that I wanted to become a teacher until later in life. It wasn’t until I was already in college and working at an elementary school as an after school care leader when I knew I wanted to work with children as a career. I attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida. #pantherpride
Some people eat to live, I live to eat! I enjoy trying new restaurants/foods, road trips, antique shopping but most importantly spending time with my husband and daughter! I am most excited about all the new things I am going to learn from the staff and students this year.

This is my fourth year at UCP. My second grade teacher was a great inspiration. I enjoy working with children. My mom has a background in education that was also an inspiration to me. Even though I have an administration license, I just love the learning that takes place in the classroom and find it hard to leave. I attended Ohio University (masters) and Notre Dame (of Ohio). In my free time, I hang with my dog- Raleigh and my husband, cook, read, spend time with family, watch movies, play Yahtzee. I have a nervous excitement of the online transition that we are making. I am used to traditional teaching and I probably would not have explored the online options if it hadn’t been for the sudden shifts that education needed to make until now.

This is my first year at UCP. It may sound cliche but I became a teacher because I want to make a difference. Each day I have an opportunity to impact someone’s life for the good. Also, I never had any teachers that looked like me growing up, so providing that representation for my students is so important to me and beneficial to them as well. I graduated from Cleveland State University. In my free time, I like to binge watch Netflix shows, read books, and spend time outdoors with my family. I am excited about seeing my students in person (hopefully).

This is my first year at UCP! I became a teacher because it is NEVER boring! I also love to read and write, and I really enjoy seeing students read a book that they love, and will remember forever. I have attended too many colleges…UNLV, Cleveland State, College of Charleston and Kent State.  I graduated from Cleveland State. Lately…I learn about Canvas!  I love to bake, read and paint old furniture. I am really excited to teach students how to get excited about reading and writing, and how not to be intimated by either.

This is the start of my 6th year at UCP, 11th year with ICAN and ACCEL Schools. I always knew that teaching was going to be my career. I attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. I like to play sports, especially softball and co-ed kickball. One thing I am excited about is seeing and talking to the students, since we really haven’t seen them since March.

 I have been at UCP since October 2014. I became a one-on-one because I wanted to know more about the IEP intervention world since my oldest son falls under that category. I also wanted to help a child who was not able to make it through school without a little extra help. Watching my son struggle was inspirational. I attended Cleveland State. For this school year I’m excited to see how the kids will adapt to a new environment and new learning system.

This is my first year at UCP. I honestly became a teacher because my mother has always been telling me that I should be a teacher and help make a difference, because I can relate to children and young adults well. Ever since I was a young man myself. I have always worked with our youth whether it was helping with the kids at church or as a camp counselor, then as a youth sports coordinator for the YMCA. I attended The University of The District of Columbia, American University, and The University of Phoenix. I love spending my free time with my wife and two boys; I am a huge family guy. I enjoy listening to good old school, and jazz music. My favorite is playing and coaching basketball. I am excited about learning new things this year to apply to my everyday lessons for the students. It will be challenging to brighten the minds without traditional games.
