Narukami(a Buhddist saint) holds a grudge against the imperial court, and captures the rain dragon. She tells the story about her “late husband” and tells Narukami that she just wants to wash her husband’s robes. She turns around and pretends to pull her skirts up, making Narukami faint. Before fainting, he recalls hearing a story where a priest lost his powers after seeing a woman’s naked body.

After being seduced, Narukami quits being a priest and asks Taema’s hand in marriage, she agrees. After Narukami and Taema drink sake to seal their marriage, Narukami becomes drunk and passes out. Meanwhile, Taema climbs the mountain to cut off the ropes sealing the dragon.

After Taema freed the dragon god, it starts to rain and thunder. Taema flees from the mountains and heads elsewhere. When Narukami woke up, his hair stood on end and says “I am so bitter to be deceived!” And starts throwing his students in a fit of rage. He looks for the princess to pursue her.

MARIA Hertogh or Natrah Maarof was born on March 24, 1937, in Tjimahi in Java, the Dutch East Indies.

Her father Adrianus Hertogh was a sergeant in the Dutch Army.

During World War II, she was left by her Eurasian mother Adeline Hunter in the care of a family friend — Aminah Mohamad — who lived in Bandung.

Sergeant Hertogh was captured by the Japanese Army and sent to a POW holding facility in Japan, where he was interred until 1945.

Aminah claimed that Adeline had given Maria to her for adoption.

Shortly after the war, Aminah took Maria home to Kemaman, Terengganu, and Maria’s parents requested the Dutch authorities in Java to trace her. They found Aminah and Maria in 1949, but Aminah refused to give Maria up.

Maria married Mansor Adabi in 1950, and it was during this time that the Hertoghs and Aminah were involved in a custody battle over Maria in the Singapore High Court.

The court granted custody of Maria to her parents, and consequently, riots broke out in Singapore. The riots originated with a peaceful demonstration in support of Maria and Aminah, organised by Pas founder Dr Burhanuddin Helmi.

Singapore police nabbed 778 people in the riots which claimed 18 lives. Two hundred were charged and five received the death sentence.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, who was then a lawyer, had the death sentences commuted to life imprisonment.

Maria was taken by her parents to Holland and married Johan Wolkefeld in 1956. He subsequently corresponded with Mansor and both men wanted Maria to visit Aminah.

However, the trip never materialised due to Maria’s financial difficulties. Aminah died in 1976.

In 1989, Maria was interviewed by the magazine Dewan Masyarakat published by Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka. She expressed a strong desire to return to Malaysia.

In 1999, she returned to Singapore to film a documentary on her life for a Dutch television station. She also visited Aminah’s family in Terengganu.

In various interviews, Maria said she was only happy during her childhood, and dedicated her life to caring for others and making them happy.

Around 1870, a Persian Wayang troupe performing plays arrived in Penang. The performance gained a reputation.
In 1883, Mamak Bush imitated the Persian Wayang Opera and established the Malayan Wayang Theatre. Based on the local social reality, he imitated the Persian Wayang style and carried out performance activities that mainly reflected the lives of the upper-class figures in society. Because the performance is based on the taste of nobility, it is called Bangsawan (meaning noble drama). It inherits the tradition of folk rap, adopts the screen system, and the actors make up their own lines improvisedly and organize conflicts.

The early Bangsawan plays had a strong primitive religious color, and the content of the plays mostly came from domestic and foreign myths, fables, and historical stories. For example, "Alibaba and the Forty Thieves" and "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp" are popular plays. In the 1930s, Bangsawan dramas began to reflect real life. The themes focused on punishing evil and promoting good and admonishing the world. It became a popular drama in Malay-speaking regions (including Indonesia) before the 1940s.

There are literary and folktale versions of Ramayana in Malaysia. The Hikayat Seri Rama exists in both written and oral form, and the Wayang Kulit Siam is a shadow play from Kelantan on the border of Malaysia and Thailand. The Ramayana in Malaysia is used more for entertainment and social education rather than for spiritual or religious purposes. Kelantan is strongly Islamic, but it is also the main base for the Malay shadow puppet theatre.

The main purpose of the Hikayat Seri Rama is to show the ideals of righteousness, love, loyalty, and selfless devotion. This Malay version has combined elements of the Indian Sanskrit Ramayana with local traditions and beliefs to create a highly developed story which is enjoyed by many.

The Malays do not look for the Hindu/Buddhist concepts of dharma, karma, and moksha in the hero Rama. They only view him as a righteous and virtuous model for mankind. With these traits he was able to triumph over evil. When comparing the Sanskrit Ramayana and the Hikayat Seri Rama we find they share the basic universal theme that goodness, righteousness, and justice will prevail over evil. These values and ideals appealed to the people in all the countries of South East Asia influenced by India.

Malay storytellers however show the legacy of their particular civilization in their version of the epic. Malay writers and storytellers produce variations in which Lakhsmana, the younger brother, becomes more important than Rama the elder prince. Rama, although righteous and virtuous was perceived to be weak and his character is often moved to the background. The younger Lakhsmana's courage and willingness to react decisively appear to be traits which are more appreciated by the Malays.

The movie that I would like to give a comment on is “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”. The actors in this movie are some of the well-known actors like Lily James and Michiel Huisman which we know are really good with their acting skills. The emotions they portray in each particular scene really suits with the atmosphere and the situation. For the storyline, I like it since it is not one of the cliché romantic movies we usually see as the main actor is not even searching for love, but falls in love whilst having an adventure she was having researching about a literary society. What I dislike about the movie is how they incorporated some of the brutal things during the war but it is not a really big thing as this movie is one of my favorites.

I watched a horror movie entitled The Curse of La Llorona because of the recommendations I saw on Twitter. The actors acting skill on the movie is all good, they manage to give the eerie feelings but I can see the hype is only because it is in The Conjuring universe. The storyline is not really amusing and predictable; the lady go to the church to seek help from the priest when they get disturbed by a spirit named La Llorona, the priest helps them and that's it. What i dislike about this movie is even if it is a horror movie, it mainly only relies on the jumpscares.

This story is actually so disturbing from the start until the end because I have read a fact somewhere it said that all the actor have their guardians accompanied them on the scene because the director does not any disturbing case happen in real life. In fact I watched this movie because I was curious but after I watched it to the end I started to regret it because it appeared in my dream and I can not have a proper sleep for almost 4 or 5 days. The story line is quite unique because it shows footage of Megan being kidnapped. Overall I can say I hate this movie but at least this movie sated my curiosity.

This movie is about an insurance examiner,the death of his wife, insurance examiner Gang-Soo (Kim Nam-Gil) fell into a deep state of depression. He has now gone back to work. Gang-Soo takes a case involving Mi-So (Chun Woo-Hee) who is now in a vegetative state. To investigate her case, he goes to see her at the hospital. There, he meets a woman who introduces herself as Mi-So. He discovers that he is the only one who can see her. Mi-So woke up after she got in a car accident. She sees herself lying in a hospital bed and realizes that she is now a spirit. Mi-So meets insurance examiner Gang-Soo and knows that he is the only one who can see her. She asks him to grant her a wish. What I dislike about this movie is the ending of the movie. Gang Soo has suffered so much in life so I expect him to have a happy ending or atleast for him to have something or someone he can cherish but it doesn't end that way,in the end he lost everything he recently gained.

At the end of the story, I cried because the last part was sad. What I dislike about this movie is one of the characters that is a writer that Hazel likes. When Hazel and Gus went to visit or meet him, the writer treated them badly.

Hope, also known as Wish, is a 2013 South Korean movie directed by Lee Jong-ik, starring Sol Kyung-gu, Uhm Ji-won and Lee re. This is one of my favourite movies ever since it is based on a true story. It is a story about eight-year-old Hope (Lee Re) is abducted, brutally beaten and raped while walking to school on her own. The storyline can be said to be almost identical to the actual incident. The case had been a big issue in South Korea at the time. Lee Re who plays the character of So-Won really makes the film even more heartbreaking. As an audience, I also feel sad about So-won's condition even though it's just acting. Although still young, Lee-re is very good at appreciating his character. But what I don't like about this movie is the court sentenced the man to only 12 years in prison.

John Wick 3

This movie is about the life of an assassin who has a hidden society among other assassins. Before this John Wick 3 came out, I had already seen the same story i.e. John Wick 1 and 2. As we all know, Keanu Reeves is one of the famous hollywood actors because of his way of acting that inspires the character and as usual, he is able to bring his character as John Wick in this story very well. Yet what I didn’t like about this story was the storyline . If we watched John Wick 2, we understand that in the end of the story is about how John breaks the rules of the assassins which is they cant kill anyone in their special hotel or their safe place. As a result, John is hunted by the entire assassins community and it is told in John Wick 3. As I have said, the storyline is really uninteresting because it has the same Storyline as John Wick 1 where John Wick finds the mastermind of everything that happened to avoid himself being killed.

Fantasy Fiction

I would like to comment on a movie named Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 2011. This is my favourite movie. The actors acting skill in this movie were top tier. Especially the golden trio, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Considering this was the last movie of the Harry Potter series, it left such a huge impact on emotions to me. The characters well development and bond portrayed will forever be in my heart. Not to mention that the storyline throughout the whole movie was incredible. Harry Potter not only taught me about love to family but friends as well. I love the storyline very much.

However, there is something I dislike about the movie is that, the Voldemort which the top evil character, he did not die in a way I expected to be. I was expecting something more extraordinary and dreadful since it was in a magical world.

"Paddington" is the film about which I would want to comment. The film is the perfect blend of funny, exciting, and completely relaxing. However, there are certain aspects of this film that I did not enjoy, such as the ridiculous portrayal of a bear character. When a bear acts like a human in the city and talks with a human, the film makes it seem ridiculous. The film presents a talking bear as normal, and everyone appears to be chatting to the bear as though other animals are also talking. There are no shocking parts in the film where the bear is talking; instead, they simply ignore the bear as he walks about the railway station and talks.

Marriage story is a movie about how a seemingly happy married couple can have a major falling out which resulted into a divorce. The main character in the movie was played by Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. Both of their acting were superb in the movie. They manage to really depict a husband that still wants the relationship to work and a wife thats ready to move on with her life. The fights that they had, the hardwork that they put to repair their relationship is really a reality check to all of us. The good thing about this movie is that it shows the viewer nothing is perfect and every relationship must come to an end at some point in life. However the bad thing about the movie is that they don't really give us much information about what happened after the movie. All we know is that the couple got divorced and moved on with their life, thats it. It would be nice to get a proper closure but that's just me nitpicking.

I watched Leon: The Professional last weekend and I love it so much. The movie is a piece of art including the movie soundtrack. The acting is top notch by Jean Reno and Natalie Portman. The villain, Gary Oldman as Norman Stansfield is an unpredictable character and he kept the movie interesting to watch even if he was the bad guy.

The storyline is about Leon, a hitman and Mathilda, a young girl whose family gets killed by the corrupt DEA Agent, Stansfield. Mathilda wants to learn how to become a hitman to kill Stansfield. It continues when she starts to develop a romantic feeling for Leon but he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings. I love the story line because there are plenty of action and memorable dialogues in the movie, especially from the villain.

If there is one thing I dislike about this movie, then it would be the sexual tension between the main characters. It can be disturbing because of their huge age gap, and Natalie Portman was playing a character of a twelve-year-old girl. But other than that, this movie is the best movie I’ve watched so far and I will watch it again.

Thor ragnarok is one of my favorite movies of all time. The reason for that is the acting done by the cast members. Taika Watiti the director gave room for the actors to improvise their lines and it showed very well in the dialogue of the movie and the character interactions felt more genuine. The improvisation of actors such as Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston were amazing and it made for a dramatic yet very comedic movie. It was also impressive how they stayed in character even through the difficulty of improve. The storyline of the movie was also set in an interesting position as it started with Thor in a fight. Then Thor returns to Asgard victorious but finds that Loki was impersonating Odin. The brother then went to earth and it was a nice interaction between Thor and Doctor Strange as Strange helped them find Odin. It gets dramatic when we find out that Thor and Loki have a sister and Odin dies and Thor's hammer breaks. The thing i disliked about this movie is the consequences of the movie as it was completely retconned by Infinity War

The movie that is currently my favourite is Ready Player One. I really like the movie and how the actors portray their avatar when they are in the game. I also like how they connect the story line from their virtual reality simulation called The Oasis and with the real world. It makes me felt thrilled as to see how his character developed and how their friendship with many people across the world even if it was only started with a game can help them compete with a corrupted corporation that tried to steal the game. The thing that I dislike is how they all seem to misunderstood the creator of the game and adored him for making a mind blown game even if the creator himself regretted for not having enough time to spend with the outside world as he always isolated himself in his room to finish the Oasis.

I recently watch Marvel Black Widow. I watch it because I love to see Scarlett Johansson in the role that match for her. She plays her role as Black Widow very well. I love the storyline where we can see how woman can also be “superhero” with their own skill and show the world that woman is not weak. The movie also portrays family relationship even though they were adopted and not in the same blood, it still feels like a real family. From the storyline, we can see the moral value which is don’t give up until the end of the war.

However, there is something I dislike about the movie, is that Dreykov miss-used the technology to control the world and hurt Natasha Romanoff with her family as revenge for bombing his daughter. In the movie, Dreykov also put his dead daughter alive back by using his technology and misleading it

A movie that I am giving a comment about is "The Conjuring 2". The main actors for this movie has been just the same since their first movie The Conjuring (2013)- The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It. It also connected to the movie Annabelle which I love every each of them. The paranormal investigators are Ed and Lorraine Warren that were casted by Vera Farmiga together with Patrick Wilson. They are both great actors. I also love the screenplay in their movies. The theory that are all connected in every movies are just amazing. But one thing that I dislike about The Conjuring 2 is , the story line is a bit slow compared to conjuring first and third. The only exciting scene is when they started to encounter Valak. The old man in the movie is not even that scary and a bit slow but the sound effect for the scenes are not so suitable considering the slow ghost. But great plot twist after all.

The devil all the time

The movie had an outstanding cast , and the acting was definitely one of the strong points. The story line was rather moderate but complete in its own ways. I think the whole Virginian vibe was really portrayed brilliantly. But, the main problem I had is the film doesn’t have a lot to say. I just thought there might be more to it. There's a lot of great actors which are Sebastian Stan, Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgård and Rober Pattinson. Their acting skills are brilliant but the movie doesn't reach my expectations. At first I thought the thriller would be amazing just like when I watch Midsommar or else but this movie just had a lot of unnecessary explicit scenes.

The cop and the gangster decide to join forces to catch the killer. The thing that I dislike in this movie is the cop is kinda selfish at first. He wanted to catch the killer on his own and does not want the gangster to help him catch the killer. He always thought that the the gangster will betray him. The gangster do actually really wants to help him because the killer once tried to kill him but failed.

Shuto Kousoku Trial 1 (1998)

This story took place in an era where illegal expressway racing was a huge yet lucrative hobby, especially for the ones who bet their money on the line and got rid of their rival's tailgating headlights out of the rearview mirror as quick as possible.

Kazuki, Matsuzaki and Futaba are aspiring street racers that are trying to beat the Tokyo C1 expressway track record. However, Kazuki got bored and got to become a businessman and swore not to street racing again. Matsuzaki, Kazuki's partner takes his place on beating the track record but died in a expressway corner. Kazuki got pressured by his street racing friends and got back again to the scene. However, there is another blockade for Kazuki: an unnamed police detective that loves to arrest people who break traffic rules; especially the ones who modified their vehicles to an illegal extent.

Kazuki successfully beaten the track record for the Tokyo C1 Expressway and almost being arrested by the detective. The detective cannot arrest Kazuki since he did not modified his car in an obvious way except for the car's ECU, and call it a day. The detective be like, understandable, have a nice day.

The acting skills were below average, stiff on some scenes since most of it's production time was focused more on car stunt scenes and the product placements of auto parts and manufacturers. Furthermore, it had the same comical gear shifting scene syndrome like you see in all Fast and Furious movie franchise.

Personally, there is nothing to hate on this particular movie and if there's intentionally or unintentionally bad parts, I would simply be laughing off of it. Maybe, for others, they had to bear with multiple 80s movie clichés with cheesy freestyle 80s beats. But all in all, this movie is recommended for everyone, especially the ones who are motorsport enthusiasts or 80s era enthusiasts in general.

My all - time favourite movie is Suicide Squad released in 2016. Recently the sequel of Suicide Squad which is The Suicide Squad was released but it wasn't what I expected and was quite disappointing. I love the movie because it is not your normal superhero movie because it is a team of dangerous incarcerated supervillains on a top-secret mission. I love Margot Robbie who acts as "Harley Quinn" who is not only sweet, giddy, and girlish also twisted, vicious, violent, and a fierce fighter. She executed the role amazingly where she pops out of the murky underworld colour palette, a flash of toxic neon perkiness. She’s a pressure cooker without a lid, a venomous injection of fun into every scene in which she appears. One thing I dislike about the movie is the editing in the movie was bit awkward. The tones were all over the place and the scenes put together are in a uncomfortable way particularly the flashbacks.
