2) Share ONE improvement you think we can make to this trip to help everyone have a more meaningful and enjoyable experience.

2) Step out of comfort zone and interact with someone i have never met. Because, I often distance myself from others that i do not know except my friends. I wouldnt say i am introvert but i am confirm not an extrovert. Another challenge i may face is that i may have limited school shirts and may need to buy new ones. 61 words

2) Time management and when things do not go our way for example waking up late.

2) This brings me to my second point, I would like to see my bargaining power, seeing how much discount I would be able to get. This is to see whether I'm good at persuading people or if I'm just a pushover.

I am interested in going to Braga Street, as I am excited to see the colonial architecture and to visit the shops located along the street. Braga Street is a street in the center of Bandung, Indonesia, famous in 1920s colonial Indonesia as a promenade street. A European ambiance of chic cafes, boutiques, and restaurants along the street propelled Bandung to attain the Dutch nickname Parijs van Java.

I would like to improve on my punctuality and be on time for the whole trip, not late or unprepared to do activities, but completely ready with an open heart and mind for the trip.

2) I will have to learn to try and manage my time while on the trip

2) Some challenges that might be faced while painting is that the paint might run out, which is why we plan the drawing before we start painting so as to understand how much paint would be used before actually painting it.

2) I want to challenge my endurance as the scedule is really packed an I want to pesevere through it as in the future there might be times like this and I want to train myself to do that.

2: One aspect I would like to challenge and improve on during this trip is my confidence in communicating with locals. I want to practice speaking Bahasa Indonesia more fluently, ask questions, and learn about their daily lives. This will help me become more open-minded, independent, and comfortable interacting with people from different backgrounds.

2: I expect to face challenges such as adjusting to a new environment, managing time during activities, and staying organized throughout the trip. Communicating effectively with locals or vendors might also be challenging at first. However, I plan to overcome these by staying positive, being adaptable, working as a team, and keeping an open mind to learn from every experience.

2) One challenge I expect to face later on is fatigue and tiredness due to the packed schedule but I would want to push myself as there would be many times in my life when I will be facing this type of challenge in similar situations

2) i enjoyed this picture because the bullet train here in indonesia reminds me a lot of the bullet train in Japan. As a japan enthusiast i am impressed with the bullet trains here in indonesia

Indonesia's first high-speed rail,Whoosh, and the Shinkansen in Japan ,are both fast train systems, but it differs in its origin and current scale. While the Shinkansen is a mature network built over decades by a domestic company, Whoosh is a new, China-backed project that uses technology from the China State Railway Group, and currently consists of a single line connecting Jakarta and Bandung.  

2) The picture is my favourite as that picture was taken in the high speed train and this picture impacted me as it is clear that we were excited to board the high speed train and feel the surroundings at high speed. The moment the photo was taken, the high speed train was speeding up and we were excited for it.

2) My favorite photo was when the plane was about to take off, as it was my first time officially flying in a aeroplane. Unfortunately, the experience was not anticipated because of the pressure and altitude, I thought my ears were going to burst back than. 😭😭😭

2) This is my favourite picture I have taken so far as this is the second time I have flown to another country on an airplane and reminds me of how small Singapore is and how much I do not know about the cultures and places around me and is very exhilarating to see how high we were in the sky.

I will have to learn to manage my time better in order to put in my most efforts. As i am sometimes unprepared and late, it affects my productivity of my work so i will have to learn and adapt to managing my time better and to be more prepared for the activities. I will try to cope and adapt to any time changes like waking up early or sleeping late in order to get enough rest to carry on activities the next day so that once again i can contribute to my team.

2. The photo above is my favourite moment for day 1 as I got to bond together with friends and groupmates while eating together with them. This moment has impacted me because I have made a better bond with friends that I was good with. But, after that moment our friendships have strengthen.

   
   

2. I would like to challenge myself to talk more to the locals and understand their culture. As someone who often stays within my own comfort zone and not like to mingle much, I think this is a great opportunity for me to really immerse myself in and appreciate the country’s culture and hear different perspectives of the Indonesians regarding culture, education and standards of living.

2. Once challenge I expect to face is the unpredictable (haha ironic) traffic jams which may delay our schedule. However, I believe the teachers are adaptable and our guides are capable of tailoring the schedule to best suit our needs without compromising on the experience of our students.

2: One culture experience that will last in my memories is having to experience how their class is. I was able to learn a new language and experience how difficult it is to new something new and having to speak it correctly.

2) One cultural practice that i find interesting is that Muslim students here have a time to pray in the school together during school hours, which as a Muslim, i am very interested and i think that Singapore should also let Muslims pray during certain prayer times. As in Bandung, many students religion is Islam. As a Muslim too, i would also like to pray together with my friends and schoolmates, thus i like this cultural practice that Bandung normalises.

2) The Angklong cultural experience was was by far the most memorable as the experience felt unique while being able to let the audience participate in singing, dancing and using/learning angklong. While I was there, I heard several songs that was somehow familiar, but unfortunately I do not know the name of it.

2) One cultural experience that will become a lasting memory even after I graduate from QTSS is that there are parts of bandung indonesia that has no traffic lights and needed a person to control the traffic and there are some people that bribe the traffic man by giving him money causing the traffic in bandung to be corrupted. This experience impact me in being more appreciative of the Singapore traffic being fair and simple.

2. One cultural experience that will leave me an impact even after I leave Queenstown secondary school is the Angklong event. Thie is because I managed to play the angklong with all my friends and groupmates and we got to sing songs and play as one. This suggests that by doing all of this leaves me an impact that I will remember.

2) One cultural experience that would stick with me is the students of Taruna Bakti with their wide range of ages all under the same school to learn and play with some probably as young as primary 1s or 2s and some as old as Secondary 4s in Singapore and still manage to have a cohesive environment to conduct lessons and focus on studies.

2 [a]) I saw the beautiful scenery at Kawah Putih, it was unique due to the thick fog high up in the mountains'. This was new because I had never actually been up a mountain or seen thick fog. But the scenery there as well as the experience of being there were worth it.

One thing that I would done differently is that I would have a better organisation and arrange as everything was in a mess, so it was difficult to do things.

2.(a) One new experience that I have experienced today is going to Kawa Putih and the journey to Kawa Putih

On the journey up to Kawa Putih it was fun and exciting as I got to ride in vehicle that was going fast.

Kawa Putih was aesthetically pleasing. For example, the massive mountains.

2: Something new that i experience during the trip was facing the weather changes. From the weather being very hot early in the morning to it being freezing cold when he reach Kawah Putih after lunch. The coldness of the place was unexpected and i thought it the temperature would be the same as the aircon in our hotel.

We could have planned what designs on what we wanted to do earlier to waste less time as we took a long time to prepare designing the trash bin even even when the 2 hour timing started. However we did manage to improvise and manage our time problem by making simpler designs which takes less time to do. However we still could have done the original design if we started on time but in the end we still managed to get the work done.

a)

One sight i saw that i enjoyed was going to Kawah Putih. The beautiful mountain scenery and gas emerging from the water was interesting and was a beautiful sight to see. The blue waters were amazing and the forest around was just peaceful.

b)

One sound i enjoyed was the peaceful ambience of the forest around Kawah Putih. The peaceful ambience was quiet yet the silence was broken with the sounds of the bird’s chirping, swaying around of the trees and the wildlife in there. An extraordinary ambience to experience.

One smell that caught my interest is the smell of the sulfur at Kawah Putih. The strong smell of sulfur was interesting as it was a smell i have not smelled before and it was interesting to experience such a new smell in a beautiful environment along with the sounds and scenery of Kawah Putih.

2)(a) A new experience i just experienced was that the kawah putih was a very cold place especially when it is raining. Something that I have seen today is that the 'sand' just before the ocean was greeny yellow in colour and i just knew that it was sulfur.

2a) A new experience I have seen today is the trip to kawah putih and the deer conservation centre. The way kawah putih took a long time and is lengthly, seemingly going uphill or back downhill forever with the thrillingly fast van ride to the crater. When I reached there were smoke blowing from small pockets and from the lake itself. After that we went to the deer conservation centre which was nearby and fed cute deer. Since both places were very high up, the air was very cold. Combined with the wet weather, it was necessary to bring a jacket or sweater and an umbrella or poncho.

One improvement I think you can make is going to more schools or spending more time in the schools.
