This is a public article from the Alzheimer's Association. This talks about caregivers being put at a higher risk of anxiety and stress. Many of the symptoms caregivers face resemble the process of grief. The disease when starting to progress puts the caregiver's brain in a reaction of grief.

This is a scholarly article presented by the national Library of Medicine. Having a parent with Alzheimer's puts you at a higher risk of developing the disease when you are older. As of now 27 million individuals have it and the number is only going the raise. This will put more children in the place to care for their parents as well as a raise in mental health disorders.

This is a Harvard academic study done about genetic testing and how it can seem like a blessing that would tell you whether or not you have the disease Alzheimer's. This is not the reality; It actually only tells you if you are at a higher risk for Alzheimer's. This can cause worry if you do have the gene but you really wouldn't need to because it doesn't mean that you would necessarily have Alzheimer's at any point in your life.

This is a blog from the Joan's Family Bill of Rights talking about children dealing with Alzheimer's. “'Ambiguous loss' is a term used to describe the loss that an adult child may feel when the parent is physically present but may not be mentally or emotionally connected." This type of grief is very different it is not sudden you sometimes have years to grieve. It is hard to understand that you are also grieving because the person you are grieving is still alive. Children caregivers also face a lot of guilt over sending their parents to a professional physicality even when it is the best option. A lot of times it is hard to grasp the idea that they don't know the number of times you go and see them so you don't need to feel guilt for not being by their side every day.

This was a graphic novel by Sarah Leavitt that depicted her experience being a caregiver to her mother. She created the novel to help raise awareness about the effects on not only the patient but the family. It helps represent the different emotions and coping skills children go through to try and understand the illness. Sarah would take notes on her mother's story to help her try and understand what she is going through. The story also dives into the different ways people can react after grieving for a loved one for so long.

This is a blog by Cathy Cassata, a freelanced writer who forces on health education. Trying to connect to past memories you hold with your parents can help both patient and the child. Trying to find old music they like and showing photos can help bring moments of clarity. Person-centered care is when you focus on the patient over the disease.

-Ted talk voiced by Toine Heijmans, explaining his father's journey through Alzheimer's.
- Alzheimer's affects everyone differently only thing doctors can promise is that they don't know much.
-once someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's children are appointed caregivers.
- caregiver represents cruelty and being exhausted can feel like forced labor.
- like being dropped in a jungle with only a flashlight
-people around can help but every person who tries cant truly understand because every situation is different you can find closure in the people around you going through it with you.
-care givers are survivors who give all they have to their loved once and many times feel alone because the parent you once knew now is like a zombie.
