These lyrics you can relate back to the early apostles. The apostles feared the Romans and Jesus told them to not fear because God is looking over them. Ordinary Time is meant to be a time to strengthen your relationship with the Lord so you don't have to fear others.

Each line of these lyrics speak about how God is a source of light, a living fire. Most of all, they are about hope. Relating back to the apostles, God was a beacon of faith, and the Holy Spirit was a messenger of that pure want.
