Conçue par Shigeru Ban en 1995, son ossature est en acier.      La fonction FRANCHIR est assurée par le plancher en béton armé et par le toit. (Vert)  
Pour la fonction PORTER , elle est assurée par les poteaux en béton armé. (représenter par les flèches bleues).
 Pour la fonction CONTREVENTER, elle est assurée par le  seul mur de la structure qui l'empêche de tomber. Enfin pour la fonction FONDER, on la retrouve au niveau du sol,  elle est réalisée par l'encastrement des poteaux dans le sol. (cercle rouge) . C'est une structure aminci à stratégie d'épaisseur.
