It helps them to become stronger, smarter and bolder. Volunteers work with girls in class and supervising recess. There is a short orientation and tour on site before starting. Volunteers support staff in preparation and facilitation of workshops, classes, activities and field trips. For student clearance, here are the rules:
  • If a student volunteer is under 18 years old, they do NOT need to complete clearance, but they must be supervised by an OUSD employee all times. 
  • If a student volunteer is over 18 years old (or becomes 18 years old while volunteering), they must register online as a community volunteer and complete the volunteer clearance requirements the same as any other adult. We provide financial aid scholarships for the fingerprints to anyone who cannot afford it. (registration is here)

The high school students will be part of our academic and social enrichment classes during the After School Program.
