This compelled Thomas Jefferson to admonish King George III in the Declaration of Independence. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

The parliament could make laws Binding the American colonies in all cases whatsoever.</p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>to show the American colonists that the british parliament had a right to tax them and that they were stronger than them. It was to assert to the colonists that they had the authority to make laws, and it was a reaction to the failure of the Stamp Act.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

It also took away some of the colonists' freedom. It ensured the loyalty of Americas governmental officials to the British. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

An angry mob started to attack them. It started a shooting and 5 colonists were killed. </p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>It showed Great Britain that the Americans were not going to tolerate the taxes and tyranny</p></li></ul>]]></description>

The Tea Act gave the East Indian Company a tax break on their tea which made the price lower.</p></li></ul><p>Significance:</p><ul><li><p>It encouraged colonists to buy the East Indian Company tea because it was cheaper. The Tea Act was to help this company get out of debt.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

American colonists were mad at Britain for "taxation without representation" so they dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. Imported by the East Indian company. The British then shut down the harbor until all of the tea was paid for. </p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>The Boston Tea Party helped intensify colonial support for the American Revolution. It also gave the colonists the courage to stand up for their rights. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

It prevented all trade in the colonies.</p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>The Intolerable Acts were meant to set back the colonies but instead, it made them rebel. The meeting was called because of the Boston massacre. </p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>The continental Congress helped gain independence from England. It also helped establish an army, a navy, a post office, and issued currency. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

It states the principles of how the government and Americans should be. The declaration showed the colonists' reasonings for wanting independence. </p></li></ul><p>Significance: </p><ul><li><p>The Declaration of Independence gave America their independence and it also made the idea that all men were equal. It gave people the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. </p></li></ul>]]></description>
