In non-formal eduaction, sucject of learning does not have to follow formal syllabus and it is not graded by external accreditation

Informal learning takes place outside schools. Once an educator connects with other educators, they begin to collect them as sources in a Professional Learning Network of educators, a PLN. A connected educator may then access any or all of these sources for the purpose of communication, collaboration, or creation.

Importance of connections with teachers outside our school

In my opinion connection with teachers outside my school is very important because we can share ideas and together find new creative ways of learning. Every teacher has some special talents which others do not have. Sharing is very important because other teaches can inspire and motivate us and also we can do the same for them. We could talk about how their school works, their rules, projects and maybe even start a project together. We could organise educational trips together and help children acquire social skills and meet other children.

Non-formal learning is very important in my life. I have been to two Erasmus+ and YouthWeek exchanges. There I have learned a lot about different areas and I have acquire many skills. The workshops I attended were organised by my peers and were connected with topics of immigrants, communication, friendship, lifelong learning, changes of education and similar. Also, we had some other obligations. We were divided into groups and we had to worry about all the members of the group. There I learned importance of cooperation and respect for others. Those events were funded by EU but we did not have strictly specified schedule. We were able to choose topics we like and discuss them.
Also, I participate many seminars. One of the most interesting for me was “The Educational System: a Confining and/or Stimulating Environment”. Whenever I have time, I try to find and participate as many as possible seminars and workshops to gain more skills and competences and be a better teacher.
