It is nice to feel appreciated. Students say thank you.
We often forget our impact on students.
Sometimes we do not realize the language of love that a student uses/shows, and we should be mindful.

When kids make a mistake we somehow blame ourselves. We need to remember that everyone, including the kids, are going to make mistakes. It is all about how we react and learn from the mistakes that is important.

Impact takes time and can be hidden...

I connect with the, at times, delayed and hidden impact and/or results that we never hear about and even forget about. Often students that we work with don't share the impact that we had, so we are unaware...and at times we never know.

When students make mistakes or have successes we feel it as our own success or mistake.

We need to reflect on the impact we have as educators and the importance of creating an environment where students feel loved and safe in our classrooms.

Every day, we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students. Sometimes, it's as simple as lending a listening ear or offering a kind word of encouragement. Our students need to know that we are here for them, not only as educators but as mentors and caregivers.

Many times we believe that the things and efforts that we put into our students are invisible or do not go beyond that, however, when a student comes up to you and thanks you for something that perhaps for one was insignificant, that is where you say that your effort and dedication was worth it.
