       Some may claim that Singaporeans are not gracious however , i disagree with it as some may be extremely egocentric and self-centered. However this does not reflect that all Singaporeans are not gracious.
       For instance, consciously being mindful to say what is appropriate is a civil choice.
Also , just by saying appropriate words can make the other party feel more motivated. 
       In addition, giving up seats is also a form of courteousness and being considerate to others which takes place occasionally at public places and transport. For example, this happened in Singapore. 
       Hence , showing cultivation

Firstly, such a view fails to consider that their  thought does not represent the other Singaporeans behavior ..For example, once I was in a train with my grandma on my way to Hougang MRT station and she was tired. Unexpectedly , a kind Singaporean got up his seat and offered it to my grandma. He was indeed kind-hearted . He gave up his seat willingly without second thoughts. In my opinion, I think that  Singaporean are gracious in their own way.

While some may argue that Singaporeans are gracious, personally, I think that it's not always true. Singaporeans can sometime be inconsiderate towards others.This is shown through everyday actions. For instance, when it comes to giving up their seats to those in need on public transport, most Singaporeans can be particularly ignorant. Other times, people will shove each other, trying to  squeeze in a packed transport which can be as crowded as peas in a pod. Another example can be seen in hawker centres, where Singaporeans' selfishness cause inconvenient to other members of the public by not returning trays after consuming food or occupying  more space for themselves than needed. This suggests that Singaporeans are not chivalrous.

Some may claim that Singaporeans are gracious. However , this viewpoint is narrow in scope as nowadays people in the train never give up their seats to the more needy people such as pregnant lady and elderly.
Moreover , some people in the food court return their plates and trays at returning counter  but some people , instead of returning it , they left it on the table for the cleaners to return it.
Therefore , Singaporean are not gracious.

On the contrary, some people may feel that Singaporeans are gracious. However, Singaporeans are programmed to think for themselves only. For example, people riding the OFO bicycles may bring them back home and keep it for themselves when they are supposed to share with the public. There are also cases where people vandalize the OFO bicycles which is not being considerate. Thus, I agree that Singaporeans lack graciousness.
