This is all done without the need of interaction with bank staff, and can be done at any time.

Impact 

As cash money increasingly becomes obsolete the need for ATMs will diminish. This unburdens banks from paying for the construction and installation of ATM machines, and also they no longer have to pay workers to maintain these machines. The issue of individuals breaking into ATM machines and stealing money will also no longer be a problem. Online banking is a method of banking in which transactions are conducted electronically over the internet. It provides consumers with a convenient method of conducting bank business. Consumers can check account balances and review other account information any time of the day or night from their personal device. 

Impact

Consumers now have the ability to perform transactions online that were traditionally reserved for tellers inside a bank branch. Teller transactions have declined because Internet users have the convenience of transferring funds, making deposits and requesting withdrawals from their personal computers. There may also be the opportunity for more positions in IT, due to the need for online security and cybersafety.

It replaces a credit or debit card through the integration of digitised payment. It makes it easier for the individual to purchase items as it is supported on the iphone, ipad and apple watch, objects that are often already carried on an individuals person. 

Impact

When an individual opens an account with a bank they receive a credit or debit card. This costs the bank money to produce. With the introduction of Apple Pay that cost to the bank is no longer there. Retailers offer Afterpay to customers, either online or in-store. The customer pays a quarter of the purchase amount to Afterpay who pays the retailer upfront. Customers pay the remainder for the item(s) in four instalments, due every two weeks. If the customers makes all their payments on time, they pay nothing more than the purchase price.

Impact
