This cartoon shows the terrible food waste that happens TODAY in many of the more wealthy nations around the world. The amount being thrown out shows a disregard for the physical world as precious resources have been wasted. If we continue to do this then the generations of TOMORROW will feel the effects of a physical world that will no longer be able to support its population.

This cartoon shows the large difference between those who have more than enough and those who don't have enough. While the little boy, skinny and under nourished, on the left has a small piece of food that has gone off, the man on the right, obese and well-clothed, is throwing away a perfectly good big piece of fruit like it is nothing. This cartoon displays the overwhelming difference these two different kinds of people have. The man on the right is most likely a representation of the MEDC; whereas, the little boy most likely represents the LEDC. The cartoon is for food equity as it highlights the negatives of food inequity and how big of a difference there is in what food people all around the world get.

Most people believe that they make too small of an impact so they don't bother helping. The cartoon also shows that people often buy more food than necessary and that a large part of it ends up getting wasted.

As you can see there is food on the floor, simply because he can't pick it up in time, this is showing how the litter. By showing how much food is being wasted and the size of the bin person, it is also proving that too much food is being thrown out. The food also has one or two bites in it, showing how much food is being wasted.

This cartoon emphasises the ideas of food waste, and how not only does it deplete our resources, but waste money as well. Simultaneously, as people disregard food and its significance, we forget about the other costs along with food waste. The energy, and money put into producing the food, is also wasted. As farmers cultivate the crops, or companies produce it and invest - all of this is wasted as we carelessly dispose of it. Additionally, this cartoon conveys the costs of the energy used to store and transport food. Therefore, emphasising how not only food is wasted, but money is also being wasted.

The women comments on food wastage and expresses how horrible it is that so much goes to waste. While she shows concern for the alarming statistics, her shopping trolley is labelled 'trash', showing us that she is unaware of her own impact on food wastage. This is supposed to represent us as a community and how we may express concern for food wastage we are also contributing to the problem and we have to take action.

This cartoon is overall showing how people's current state in life regarding water usage can have a big impact in the near future. In this cartoon, it shows how much like a doctor checks on their patient's everyday health, this particular doctor is checking on your everyday water usage. As usual, once, the doctor is up to date with your health, they will then proceed to tell you what your current health will do to you in the future. Here, the doc (who is shown as the Earth) is showing that this particular person's use of water will eventually lead to a drought. This is rather exaggerated in the way it is showing how ONE person's water usage will cause drought, but that is the way most cartoons are made. It also talks about how someone's actions today will have an impact later in the future. Much like how patients need to listen to the doctor's orders, it will make viewers want to listen to what this particular doctor is implying.

The kid is asking their parent why they can't grow crops, this may be because the soil there isn't suitable for growing crops and they can only grow biofuels which end up being burned in the end anyway. This is showing food equity because these people clearly don't have a very good food supply and dont have easy access to food.

This cartoon displays 'Food' and other resources on a weighing scale, labelled 'Waste Balance'. According to the cartoon, if food is wasted, resources such as land, water, labour, fuel and energy all get wasted in much larger amounts than the food itself. It is evident that this cartoon is encouraging people to stop food waste as there are many other resources getting wasted too, such as land waste, water waste, energy waste, etc. Moreover, the bin labelled "Food", when placed on a weighing scale, is equal to the enormous bin which consumes other resources. Hence, this cartoon indicates that the food that we waste every day is also a waste of other useful resources, leading to many other wastes than the food itself.

The left side with the man from the clearly more economically developed country is showing his wealth and privilege by having a full plate of food in the first place but then emptying it into a bin showing that where he is from there is enough food to waste a considerable amount of. The right side however is the complete opposite with four children standing on the scale still tilted towards the side with only one person. They are each holding out plates as if they are asking for some of the mans food but he has his back to them showing that he doesn't care and there is also a brick wall in front of them showing that there are many obstacles for these people in trying to access food. There is a child falling into a grave below them showing that the lack of food is having fatal consequences. i think the globe in the middle represents how there are two different sides of the world, hence the scale, one where there is too much food and one where there is not enough.

This image shows the effects of food wastage on the environment of the world. Food wastage causes a variety of environmental issues, for example when food waste is sent to landfill, it contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and also we waste all the energy and water it takes to grow, harvest, transport and package. This image clearly reflects on what our world could possibly look like if we don't reduce food wastage. The fact that the world is bleeding, has bandages and stitches suggests a broken world, a world that is not safe anymore more and damaging to the people that live in it. We can also see a box called memories which shows the old world, one of little pollution and food wastage a safer world for all.

This cartoon highlights that when getting rid of food money is also wasted. Thinking further into this image we can understand that the tossing of the food refers highly to poverty. How those in higher living situations take for granted what they (we) have, even the simple things like food. By wasting this food and also money this cartoon demonstrates how those less wealthy are also impacted by this wastefulness and carelessness.

This cartoon states that most nutritious food that we buy are going straight to the bin without it being fully used. You can see in the cartoon that the none of the family members seem happy about eating the healthy food. In fact the boy is pointing right towards the bin, supporting the fact that neither he wants the food and that we are wasting healthy food which many people in the developing countries struggle for.

This cartoon shows how sometimes people buy food for the sake of it, and how incredibly wasteful this is. The two people depicted in the cartoon comment on how they will buy the salad but simply throw it out next week. They don't mention when they are going to eat the salad, showing that they clearly have no plan for it. This cartoon is supposed to represent, how people around the world but foods for silly reasons like just for the sake of it, or for the aesthetics of the food. It's meant to show how easily people can waste food and not give it a second thought, when really what they should being doing is give a lot of thought to what they will be eating for the week, and how much food they really need.

This cartoon talks about how people are neglecting the importance of supplying basic human needs to others and only arguing about pointless political struggles. You can see that though the door that a man and a women are yelling at each other about "Fixing the economy" when clearly we can see how they are just yelling and screaming at each without much civility and order. While they are arguing we can see children outside with plates with waiting to eat however the man tells them they can't because the adults are talking.
