Similar to others, I understand that they were only teaching us briefly about anatomy and child development. However with them switching between them a lot and not diving fully into them, I felt quite lost.

I would have liked a Friday session based on the presentation assignment. Where we can ask questions in advance because I felt with the other two assignments we didn’t find out important information until last min. I don’t feel like we’ve had a lot of guidance with this assignment so a formative discussion in advance would have been helpful

Personally I felt like last Fridays session wasn’t that helpful. I thought it was helpful in getting us out of our comfort zone and presenting. However in terms of actually learning about child development I felt it wasn’t that useful. I would have preferred to have a proper lecture on that and dive further into it

I enjoy ending the sessions at 12 on the Wednesdays I feel like it gives us more time to work on assignments, read articles and have some personal time

In the other module we got a couple of sessions to help with the actual assignment in terms of time to plan, ask questions, guidance and clarifying a few things in the brief. I feel like we haven’t had chance to do that yet and I’m worried the deadline is looming.

I feel that we would benefit from having a session about the actual assignment itself- the presentation. It would allow us to ask questions regarding the assignment and would give us more guidance in how it needs to be structured etc.

I find that I lose concentration on Monday sessions. Lots of new information to take in and the pace is very fast so I often feel that I don’t fully understand what has been taught.

I feel it would be useful to have sessions to begin with about the assignment before the teaching. That way I feel personally I’d have a better understanding and be able to make links easier

Pace of learning

I'm enjoying lots of aspects of this module, much more than the previous. However the pace at which it moves can be hard to embed knowledge. Some of the Mondays are very long and intensive and there is only so much new information you can take on in one day. I find Alan's teaching style very dry and not engaging. We have covered some big topics in the last few weeks but it felt rushed.

Online learning

This module has been much better for family life personally with the online learning. The only session it didn't work for was the anatomy lesson but all the others have been great and allowed for flexible learning for those with lots of other life responsibilities.

Uni/work/home life balance improved

I'm preferring the mix of hybrid learning, face-to-face and online lectures, however, we've covered some huge topics quite fast like others have mentioned, possibly would benefit from a slower pace in the morning and not given quite so much free time to read papers on a Wednesday.

I'm enjoying the overlap with some of the learning with Beth on a Tuesday, I feel like some of the complex concepts are clearer after those lectures as we get chance to digest and then revisit.

I'm not 100% sure what Vicky has planned for assignment support but definitely would like some time dedicated to going through expectations for the structure and application in the presentation so we can get started.
