I noticed the similar virtues of women in both stories. Lanval especially highlights how good women should not be seen or heard and only serve her betrothed. All the women in Beowulf have these qualities but it is not highlighted the same way.

Similarities: Knights are not seen as royal figures, unless they are descendants of royalty/come across riches. They must serve their king but do not gain notoriety as "heroes" or any sort of nobility.

Differences: Female Characters are way more prominent, acting as key figures in the plot. Beauty standards also seem to have been created as well as the ideas of femininity and love.

Both described valorous men and respectful women.

One difference is the focus on romance in Lanval as opposed to the focus on heroics in Beowulf.

(Thomas White)

In both, public perception of an individual is considered very important. Essentially, being well-liked is equated to goodness. Another similarity is the purpose of women is to support the men or uphold their status in society. A difference is that the focal point of Lanval is romance, while Beowulf focuses more on heroism and the monarchy.
