"Unlearning, or abandoning obsolete beliefs, values, knowledge, and routines (Akgün et al., 2006), is important for the growth of both organizations and individuals because existing knowledge or habits are often barriers to new learning (Becker, 2005). SMU staff is accustomed to our existing way of doing things and are in a way comfortable.
