Educational technology is based on technology based on computer, iPad, and hand phones and so on. To help children understand easily about studies. It’s become a studies tool for children without help. Technology is organization, collaboration, communication, extra help, virtual experiences and many more. Educational technology is technological tools and media that assist in the communication of knowledge, and its development and exchange with each other.

The process of earn knowledge. Children experiment with the world, learn the rules, and learn to interact through play. Make mean of their environment through playing educational games. Children learn from their mother stomach.

Steam is an educational approach that help student in learning experiences that uses science, technology, engineering, art and mathematic. I would like to choose mathematics and science project to implement in my class.

Give two (2) reasons for each project explaining why the two projects are your choice (3 marks)

The reason i choose mathematics and science is because it is very important to students develop problem-solving skills and awareness about technology in daily life. The very basis of science is a system of thought and experiment called the scientific method. While, mathematics is a methodical applications of matter. Mathematics are power of reasoning, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and effective communication skills. Learning maths students develop analytical skills and an analytical attitude.

 Explain how you would implement the two projects in your class/counseling group. Give five (5) points for each project  (10 marks)

Implementation is  essential, especially when one understands that educational technology is about affecting particular outcomes. Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Science :

·         Designing experiment with students.

·         Using the scientific method of experimentation to explore observations and according to steps.

·         Project-based learning, as with all lessons, requires much preparation and planning. It begins with an idea and an essential question.

·         Have in mind what materials and resources will be accessible to the students.

·         Assess the process by creating team and project rubrics.

 

Mathematics :

·         Teach virtual manipulative as an interactive, based visual representation of dynamic object that presents opportunities for construction mathematical knowledge.

·         Play mathematical games, solve puzzles, and have math competitions in classroom. 

·         Students and teachers can take advantage of their tablets, computers, and smart boards to enrich students learning.

·         Video sequences enable to get a better understanding of mathematics.

·         Teach them the simple and easy formula on how to solving the calculation.

 

 

 

 

In my opinion, i would like to choose socrative approach because it is a great way  for teachers to engage their student inside and outside of the classroom,they can send out online quizzes or other educational exercises,it can be used to measure student understanding. Teachers can also take advantage of socrative "exit tickets"which require students to answer the question quickly before they leave the class. Beside that,student can play educational quiz with another students,this will enable create a good competition among friends. Socrative lets teachers engage and assess their students with educational activities on tablets,laptops and smart phones. Socrative also saves teachers time so the class can further collaborate,discuss,extend and grow as a community of learners. It is easy way to interact with their students no matter where.  

As teachers, we wonder what to do about these and the countless other behaviors that we witness each school day. Are these the issues that should concern us or should we focus exclusively on the more serious problems confronting our students? After all, dealing with gum and cell phones seems rather silly when weapons at school are a real concern for many teachers.
