Heart Beat Initiated by Sino-Atrial Node in the Right Atrium, Where An Electrical Impulse Travels across the AtriaL Walls, Causing it to Contract (Atrial Systole).
2. The Impulse reaches the Atrio-Ventricular Node at the Septum, Where there is a Delay of 0.1 Seconds. This Node Amplifies the Impulse and It travels downwards, Towards The Bundle of His (Purkyne Tissues) and then Upwards. This causes Ventricles To Contract.(Ventricular Systole).

3. Atrio-ventricular nodes receives the impulses and act as a delay.

The heart is made up fo cardiac muscles which are myogenic, that they do not require the impulses from the brain to contract. A sinoatrial node (SAN) that is located on the right atrium acts as a pacemaker which initiates the wave of excitation to the wall of the atria, which results in atria systole.
Blood flows down to the ventricle. The wave will stimulate the atrioventricular node (AVN) located at the septum, which acts as a relay station, allowing the emptying of the atria.
Purkyne fibres located at the septum conduct the excitation wave to the base of the heart, and then conducting outwards and upwards of ventricles, causing ventricle systole.
- Sze Jean
