         <description><![CDATA[<div>Using selective listening, pretend listening, and spacing out at work can be negative in work/class because you could possibly not jhear a direction the way it was truly told, which would ultimately cause you too fail the task. For example, if I was at work and I was using selective listening and my boss told me directions on a project that needed to get done by tomorrow I would hear only what I wanted to hear and most likely mess up a portion of the project.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Clark- Selective listening can have negative effects by hearing only what you want to hear and not taking in the right information, pretend listening makes you take in absolutely nothing and you are not ready for a quiz or test. Spacing out has less negative effects but you also aren’t taking in information during that time period.</div>]]></description>

This could affect you in the future because people might not want to tell you anything anymore because you never listen or it could affect you in a school or workplace because you might not here what you are asked to do and it could cause you to get in trouble</div>]]></description>
