One data point the SDG website that stood out to me was the data point highlighting how malnutrition persists worldwide, and how it affects children under the age of 5. The first effect of malnutrition that has impacted children under the age of 5 is stunting, meaning their height and overall body development is impaired, and this affects over 148 Million children. Another effect of malnutrition onto the youth is overweight. With this effect, children are fed with food low in nutrients and positive health benefits, resulting in a excess gain of fat in the youth.
