Miguel Hidalgo promoted the idea of an uprising, organized secret discussion groups. The independence movement was founded in these meetings and he earned the name "The Father of Mexican Independence." Was executed because he was guilty of treason. Jose Maria Morelos took leadership of the revolutionary army after the death of Miguel Hidalgo, signed the first act of independence, the "Solemn Act of the Declaration of Independence of Northern America." People of New Spain created "Juntas" locally formed governments that served in place of the Spanish Colonial Government. The Viceroy of Mexico City created his own Juntas and this worried the conservatives and he was arrested. Miguel Hidalgo led a small rebellion against authorities posted in Mexico. On their march to the Capital they were joined by 10's of thousands of men and defeated the Royal Spanish Army but suffered heavy losses and he worried that if they faced well trained troops they retreated to Guadalajara. They got defeated and Hidalgo and Allende were sentenced to death. Jose Maria Morelos led the Revolution after their death and declared independence in 1813. Iturbide and the Royal Army switched sides and Mexico gained full Independence.

When Napoleon invaded Italy he created the Kingdom of Italy in the North. When he was defeated Italy went back to its original form. In 1848, there was a revolution against Venice, Sicilians fought for independence from Naples and Rome declared a republic. Victor Emmanuel allied with France and defeated Austria. He then took over Lombardi, and the Central States. Giuseppe Garibaldi took Sicily and fought his way north and ended up at Naples. Victor took over the Papal States and Garibaldi gave over his conquests to Victor Emmanuel. Venice was given to the Kingdom of Italy and they took Rome in 1870.

Giuseppe Mazzini was the leader who influenced many other important Italian leaders because he had the goal and idea of uniting Italy as one in a permanent monarchy. Giuseppe Garibaldi was the most involved leader, he recruited many volunteers to gain independence after World War I, established the Roman Republic. He also promoted the goal of Giuseppe Mazzini in uniting Italy as a permanent monarchy. Cavour led a process of unification by a diplomatic alliance with the French. This all started because of Giuseppe Mazzini's idea of uniting Italy as one.

In the 18th century Prussia became a Kingdom and was very powerful. During the Napoleonic Wars as Napoleon was retreating from Germany, Germans from all states volunteered to fight against Napoleon. In this war a German Confederation but was ineffective in stopping Prussia and Austria. In 1833 the Prussians formed the sovereign which gradually expanded which united German economies. The protestants in the north won the vote over those in the south and they offered Frederick William IV the crown. He didn't accept the crown because it was given by liberals. In 1861 King Wilhelm I became King of Prussia and appointed Bismarck as Chancellor. Wanted to expand by blood and iron while remaining authoritarian. Went to war with Austria and forced Germans to choose sides an support them. The Persians were victorious and united the Northern States into the Northern German Confederation. France declared war on German States and the Germans crushed them and appointed Wilhelm I as Emperor of Germany

Otto von Bismarck the Prussian Prime Minister, designed the constitution the empire was governed under, the constitution reflected the rural nature of Germany and the authoritarian ideas of Bismarck. William I was both the German Emperor and the King of Prussia and appointed Otto von Bismarck as Chancellor and Prime Minister of Prussia.
