Question 2: Holland Test 1

On my first holland test I got SRI.

On my second holland test I recieved SCE.

One thing I found interesting with my SRI score was that it explained my very well. I am a very social individual who loves meeting new people and starting conversations. I also enjoy finding things out for myself that I am curious about, or things I hear and question.

One thing I found interesting about my second holland score of SCE was that I got a teacher and an assistant in the medical field. This was interesting because these have always been my top two choices for careers. I am know a nursing student, and I love children. Therefore, my score gave me a summary of the two things I love.

Flow

I update flow as a nurse extern. I love what I do in the hospital, and extremely enjoy helping those in need. I love having one on one time with patients, getting to know them, getting them cleaned up and fed if help is needed. This is evidenced by sitting with each of my patients and getting to know them, their concerns, and allowing them to know me and my position in their care. This career suits me because I am very empathetic and caring, and can connect to patients on that level. I am also able to set my own schedule which makes it even better!

Exercising and Eating Healthy

In chapter 14, pg. 400 it talks about cardiovascular illnesses being the top cause of death in both women and men. This pushes me to continue exercising as I get older and maintaining a good diet. These are the best two things you can do for your body to remain healthy and in shape. Also, eating healthy and working out will reduce your risk for heart attacks and cardiovascular diseases.

Real Age Results

My real age is 3 years and 7 months younger than my actual age!

Two things I found interesting was I was suggested to reduce stress and working on reducing blood pressure. I agree with the first one because I do have a lot going on in life and it can be very stressful making me not feel like an average 21 year old. However, as far as my blood pressure, i've never experienced an issue with it being increased.

Life Expectancy

Whew!! 94 years seems so far away, I did not expect to get this age, but I know my results were guiding me towards this path. One thing I found interesting was I don't know if I would have enough savings to reach 94 haha, I need to start picking up some more shifts! Also, it interests me how health and nutrition directly affects your life expectancy.

Toddlerhood

My favorite stage was toddlerhood. This was my favorite because this age in children is very adorable and when you finally see them putting things together. Toddlers try and be independent, learning from their mistakes (as Erikson stages them "autonomy vs shame & doubt". This is also when they begin talking and picking up things they hear, which is always so funny.

Overall, this course was very interesting and taught me many new objectives. The quick responses from the instructor made it feel like there was always help when needed which is awesome for an online course. One thing I would say is I felt as though it was an overwhelming amount of work in a short time period.
