*We plan together and attempt to teach things at the same time...however, at times one of us gets ahead of the others. This has been good in some ways because, we can warn each other about parts of a lesson that did not go as we hoped! This might include techniques, crazy questions, or how it was introduced by the series. One example is in science. Colored picture cards were not provided for a lesson that REALLY needed them. We made sure to get colored copies for the next time we were teaching the lesson. This made a big difference, and the lesson was much more successful. There have also been times when using the Go Math curriculum that a lesson is not going well. Instead of finishing an unsuccessful lesson, we have put it away and gotten out manipulatives to reduce confusion and clear up misconceptions.

We continuously implement it in more areas of our curriculum. Students are not only exposed to technology in a format of a standardized test, they get instant feedback, and we are able to gather data to drive our instruction. We are continuously learning.

When others seemed to be having everything under control then it caused us to not want to be around it. We had to vent in a safe environment, take a deep breath, and use our brained aligned strategies.
