Overall, women have increased their roles in society and have gained more recognition for their accomplishments. They’ve also received protection in and out of the workforce through several acts. Unfortunately, women today are still not receiving equal pay, even with acts such as the Equal Pay Act in place. They have proven themselves to be more than capable, yet are still looked down on and seen as lesser than men. Women have come a long way since the 1950s, but there is still a long way to go.
