I have used it to learn maths I did not know anything about and refresh my knowledge on maths I learned and have not used since school.

It gave clear descriptions of scientific concepts and use diagrams to further aid these descriptions. I liked the use of diagrams throughout as it clearly explained some concepts which were more confusing.
My science knowledge was slim and this book aided and helped further my learning. Without this book my confidence in Science would not have grown to the level it has nor would my subject knowledge.
Similarly, to the mathematics module I will 100% be using this book to ensure my knowledge is well equipped when teaching my students in the future.

I found it extremely useful to start to learn the concepts with English - and there are a lot of them!!

Without this book I would still be struggling with graphemes and trigraphs and many more concepts I had never heard before.
Although written for children it was exactly what I needed to aid my learning and get my subject knowledge to where it is now.
I will 100% use this book with the students I teach and will likely buy the other subjects to go with it. It is a great tool to put explanations in simple terms and gives examples to go with it too.

I was worried to begin with as I had never worked with a group solely online, however these worries soon disappeared.
My group was great and we all worked incredibly well together and supported each other through the project. I know this is not always the case and I was likely lucky however I am so glad it worked out.
I would definitely encourage collaborative learning with my students as it was a great way to share ideas and see some things from a different perspective. Here, we discussed everything from website reviews to our thoughts on pedagogy and subject knowledge. It was a great way to keep a conversation going and you could use threads to keep discussions separate.

They were a great source to learn specific areas and gave ideas on how you could teach them in your classroom.
I will continue to use these guides throughout the ICT and Computing topic as I find them easy to understand and relate too. In terms of when it comes to supporting the children the rest of the site I have found to be very helpful. I decided to go for a space theme and create a book that taught children about the solar system. I felt it was an interesting subject that could also involve maths as well as science due to the presence of measurements. It could also be used as inspiration for children to create their own solar systems and bring in the Art curriculum.

I was brought to this website and I found it fascinating that over 48,000 users were contributing to science.
