I do not understand how obvious murder can result in a not guilty verdict. We need to do better. Like everyone here, I'm deeply disturbed by the treatment of Daniel Prude. I have had loved ones who also had to endure being mental health arrested and I think both our police and mental health systems need to be completely changed. I think we are beyond minor tweaks and trainings. I'm talking overhaul. 

I  just read a quote from Daniel Prude's daughter reminding us that he was a HUMAN BEING. He was her father- he joked, he gave advice, he loved her. The officers were recorded on video mocking his condition. One of the officers actually did a push up over him.  He wasn't even offered a blanket as he lay on the ground  that cold March night, right around the corner from our school. And then he was suffocated. I'm not pleased with the verdict whatsoever and I reject the idea that these officers were "just following their training"

I have participated in several marches and protests.
