I try to always ask them about anything they've brought up to me -- the break up with their boyfriend, their game, etc. This helps with connection because they see me as someone who genuinely cares about them as a whole person, not just their grade on a project.

Mine is Ms. Beyonce. I allowed me to learn a little bit about them. The classes that I did this for they seem to be more comfortable with me.
