Gate agent: Hello, how may I help you?

Traveler: I booked a ticket for the flight to Istanbul.

Gate agent: Can I see your passport?

Traveler: Here it is.

Gate agent: Hmm... I'm having trouble finding your booking. Did you book online or by phone?

Traveler: Well, first I booked online, but then I realized I had left a typo in my name, so I called to update it. Right as I was talking with them, the call cut out, so I don't know if they finished the process.

Gate agent: Oh, I see. Can you write your name as you spelled it on the original reservation?

Traveler: No problem.

Gate agent: Yes, I found it! See, I was looking under the other spelling and it wasn't coming up. But here is your reservation, and yes, it has a note that you called but the call was incomplete.
