Very interesting project! Focusing on well-being is critical if we want to ensure student success. I am intrigued by the notion of "challenging the current models of communication and using empathy to improve them" and look forward to hearing how things progress:)

I forgot to comment on the Pre-survey! I found your questions were well thought out and seemed to be getting the information you were seeking. I was impressed that none of the teachers were a 10 meaning emotionally exhausted and I do not believe all schools can say that. Students and teachers are generally satisfied with their school community and value relationships. Both groups seem to feel that together they understand and share their feelings.

Very interesting project. I'm curious as to how your results may vary by grade. Right now my grade 12 students, and colleagues who teach grade 12, are emotionally drained. There is so much pressure for high marks (coming from the students themselves, their parents, universities/colleges, and then the pressure put on the teachers of these students from those stakeholders). It's a busy time of year for everyone, but that notwithstanding, I am curious to know how different grades might respond.
-Maria
