Back in the 1960s, Martin Luther believed that eventually, freedom will come for the minorities, which don't get me wrong, Moree freedom and free will did come. But nowadays, the idea of segregation is semi relevant to our era. It's not as dominant, but slightly there!

The issue of oppression was that the African American race, specially, was majorly mistreated amongst the "Whites" in the 1960s. These people fought for their freedom through strikes and petitions, yet we in the 21st century are still dealing with these types of issues. Aren't we called "The Land of the Free" for a reason?

I don't believe that these people deserve the treatment that they're getting. (obviously that's a given.) No one, in the United States should have to worry about going out their doors to the city and feel like their, somehow, going to encounter racial slurs and verbal attacks from some someone who's views are completely the opposite as theirs. Why can't we all just support each other, regardless of history?
