Child Labor
This issue matters to me, because the unimaginable contrary between my conditions and the child's conditions, compels my curiosity about the issue and my empathy for the children.

Being Asian brings me a lot of sympathy for the victims of racism, as there is also a lot of Asian hate. I understand their anger at being misunderstood, misjudged and being disrespected although it was not aim directly towards you.

In quiet shadows where kids should play,

Tiny hands work, dreams slipping away.

Where sunlight fades,

and darkness eternally falls.

Those tiny shoulders carry burdens too big,

Like all things with pressure,

They eventually die.

Those tiny minds carry too much to capture,

Carry memories,

a normal person could never fathom.

Those tiny hands, the seedlings of this world.

Those tiny hands, the source of oxygen to this earth

Those tiny hands, the hopes of humanity

But without light, they would never be.

For every tiny hand, a chance to make a mark,

For a future bright, where joy can spark.

Let's stand together, make it right,
