I know you say that Papa is just out working, that was he does is important and without it we would not be okay, but I miss him. I also miss you... if Papa is out working why do you have to work now too? Are we not doing so good? I want to spend more time with you and Papa, could I come to work with you one day? I am real smart and good with my hands, I could help you make shoes! My hands are also real little so maybe I could put all those small buttons on things that you always say you have a hard time doing? 

I know you think you need me here to look after my little siblings, but Margaret is almost seven I think she could do a real good job of that now! Life has changed and I just want it to go back to the way it was... they are always asking for you and we are always hungry, I am just not as good a cook as you maybe. I bet you could make something yummy with the food we are stuck with.
