Roads were a way to meet people and exchange with them and by the way learn many things about their culture. That’s why, the document that I am going to talk about revolved around the theme meeting and encounters and more precisely with the line of thought love and friendships and confrontation of differences. The first document, is a review written by Roger Ebert in 2019. The tittle is Bound of glory of 1997, it’s the story of Woody Guthrie a man who left his country because of the Dust Bowl. The second document is a picture of trinity college, located in Ireland, this place was a university created by the Queen Elizabeth First in 1592but actually, it’s a library museum. The last document is an extract of the first chapter of the book Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck in 1937. It’s the story of two friends George and Lennie who are « on the road ». II-) In the other hand we will continue with the relation between confrontation of differences and the documents:
- differences between George and Lennie prove that they complete each other. 
- monument could also be a place of confrontation because of the different culture of people who meet other people.
