Option 3 seems like the best option to preserve the academy structure for students while also moving forward with Green school initiatives and character ed requirements. However, I have observed a lot of push back from teachers that opened the school. Right now -parents and students aren't seeing value in the academies anyway. Why not move forward with a new idea that keeps the academies, but has groups with a more specific focus.

Which Option Allows us to best focus our time & energy to support students for readiness for college and beyond.

Makes me feel isolated from the department. I don't have enough time to collaborate with other math teachers. This set up put me in a difficult position last year as a first year teacher.

I think this just means each faculty member gets to "volunteer" for which PLC they want?

But they don't have to volunteer if they don't want to.

I'm not sure if voting in departments first might be better? Then the department chairs could take the vote to the larger group?
