I also like how you can plug in the numbers either on the top and side or bottom and the side.I overall like how there are different number that answers the area model not just one option as an answer.

You can determine the product by making a area model and pluging in the first and lag number on the equation into the area model and finding two numbers that multiply to make the middle number in the equation.Then finish solving the area mocel by filling out the numbers that are multiplied to make the numbers from thye inside and write them out side of the area model.Finally take the numebrs outside of the model and put them into parenthesis.

You can generalize completing the square by setting the equation to equal to 0 by subtracting or adding to both sides depending on the equation.Then making the leading coefficient equal to one by division if necessary.Finally by finding the value of half the second coefficient and then square that value.
