Bookmarks for App Smashing Educators of all ages. by Ms. S. Bremekamp

What is app smashing? How do you allow students to app smash? Why app smash? Differentiation built in! Scaffolding built in through student choice.

Meant for Persona: PreK-8 Teacher of any subject. As our school moves to push technology and digital literacy across the board, it is important for teachers to have resources that help both with SAMR as well as meeting the IEP needs for differentiation and scaffolding. This is for teachers that are busy cramming everything they have to for testing and curriculum.

Why even bother with app smashing?
Differentiation? Check!
Scaffolding? Check!
Different learning styles? Check!
Different interests? Check
Instead of forcing children in a lecture like setting to use just one boring app or tech tool that only a handful of students understand, you can allow students the freedom they need to grow in making decisions based on their needs and levels to create projects they are proud of including every single student in your class! Everyone wins, and you are not stuck looking at a million of the same static end project.
