This proves that SAT's should be discontinued because if a very high ranking school such as Harvard which is university for very very smart students, if they discontinued SAT's & their students end up even smarter and becoming very successful, than that proves others schools, colleges and universities shouldn't make it as a requirment.

Counterargument: Although there are many true reasons on why SAT's should be discontinued, there are some positives to them. Because of the SAT tests that students take, it gives them the opportunity to get a scholarship provided by the university the higher your score is. That gives students who are hard working what they deserve, but it also give struggling students the opportunity to get the scholarship they need to even get into college if they get a high score.     The Chinese government has remained committed to focusing on economic growth, and has quickly and effectively implemented good policy decisions. China is now one of the biggest and strongest countries in the world.
    In many democratic countries, the political leaders, officers, tend to be corrupt, dishonest and inefficient. Some critics claim that democracy can lead to decisions that are driven by emotion, populism, or short - term thinking rather than rational analysis or expertise. 
    Hungary was under Viktor Orban and his Fidesz party since 2010. It is described as a prominent example of democratic backlashing. They have attacks on rule of law and public institutions. They hold absolute power, which is the opposite of democracy.

SAT testing helps schools find an average of the student's grade which can sometimes help the student get into a better university.

    Socratic Summer Academy states, "The SAT can provide a standardized data point of colleges to compare one student to another." 

    SAT and ACT prep also helps for colleges to see students' learning habits and helps improve your score. Socratic Summer Academy also states, "Mathematics subtests of the SAT had better GPAs than the students who did not participate in the program and continued with their usual classes." 

    Another reason SATs are important is that it reflects your learning. "When you exclude your test, colleges will assume that you did poorly on the test and that you are not college ready." This shows that even though schools are requiring SAT scores less, they still matter to reflect your learning, preparation, and who you are as a student.
