This exhibit will feature 25 construction projects proposed to take place around the city that are aimed to transform Prague. Prague’s mayor and other elected public representatives will vote on which projects they will budget and raise funds for. This relates to my lesson because it is a great example of mayoral duties and how they can work with their council to improve their cities and towns.

When apartheid was implemented, there were laws created that divided each race of people into certain areas, facilities, jobs, and even marriages in South Africa. Desmond Tutu, who had tasted freedom when he lived in England, realized how terribly black people were being treated in South Africa. He spoke out against these laws and even peacefully protested these discriminatory laws. His efforts helped to end apartheid in 1993. Tutu’s efforts show the consistent fight against racial discrimination throughout the history of our world, and his life legacy can inspire even those today to continuously protect the rights of all humans.
