         <description><![CDATA[<div>MY JEC 360 is an all encompassing mobile app created  to initially facilitate the administrative management of students of Jackson Educational Complex which runs Jackson College of Education which is a tertiary college training teachers via distance learning especially for the rural and deprived areas of Ghana.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>MY JEC 360 is still in the developing phase and the original intention was to use both the mobile app&nbsp; and desktop version to alleviate the work load on administrative staff especially on repetitive and straight forward requests from students. Such items as&nbsp; amount owed since payment plans are allowed, purchase of college memorabilia&nbsp; and other requests such as timetable&nbsp; schedules and so on.<br><br>Prior to the pandemic, I decided in my capacity as the Technology Consultant and the Pro-Director of the College to re-invent the app for learning as well as administrative.<br>This followed the large number of students who patronised the use of the mobile app and the desktop versions.<br><br>Since the portal app and desktop had already caught on with students, it was almost a breeze to let them know that learning materials could be assessed from the portal, however it wasn't patronised and favoured until the pandemic stroke.<br><br>The vision of all encompassing was then awaken one more time but this time on steroids as students needed a form of collaborative, learning environment which had the structure of  somewhat controlled environment  for learning.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The portal had its frame or structure up and running and unfortunately time was not on my side to develop a learning app or platform from scratch. Hence I integrated Microsoft Teams ( at this point, MT was still at the nascent stages for learning ) albeit it had been in existence for collaboration in the office setting.<br><br>Students will be required to engage with Microsoft teams for their classes in that, they will be grouped in TEAMS and assigned intructors to mimic&nbsp; face to face lessons for which they are used to and familiar with.<br><br>Most learning will be transferred to&nbsp; the app and students will be allowed between six to nine months to familiarise themselves and be conversant in engaging in meaningful learning whiles on the app.<br><br>The App will then integrate other social media apps such as YOuTUBE, Facebook, whatsapp and Telegram to facilitate&nbsp; discussions and engagement.<br>Exams and Assignments will be done on Microsoft Teams  and it is hope that in about a year and a half the all encompassing app for learning and administrative purposes will be ready and only updates will be done or addition of new technologies will be the major focus</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Learners will be able to learn anytime and anywhere. This will remove the restriction of having to be in a particular geographic space for learning to take place.<br><br>Using the app allows for a much easier personalised learning pathways for each learner depending on their own metrics and learning style.<br><br>Learners are expected to lead their own learning&nbsp; by taking ownership of their progress and learning in general.<br><br>Mobile app learning provides opportunity especially in the pandemic to allow for the restrictions to be adhered to yet learning continues. It also helps working students to continue as normal without disruption to their work pattern<br><br>Finally , new technology in mobile and smart technologies makes is easier for such modes to be utilised.</div>]]></description>
