Researchers think it's likely caused by changes in certain areas of the brain as well as disurptions in brain chemical messages.<br>Gilles de la Tourette's syndrome affects approximately one in 2000 people in France and more often boys than girls.&nbsp;<br>Psychological support is very important to discuss the difficulties encountried daily by patients, due to their young age, and to try to find solutions. Relaxation techniques can also benefit people with tourette syndrome.&nbsp;<br>There is no specific drugs treatments for gille de la tourette's syndrom allowing a total cure. To accompagny a person with this syndrome, you have to have a lot of patience and not point out their tics. Physical contact such has hugs can be comforting for them.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Schizophrenia is a complex chronic psychiatric pathology that is expressed schematically by a distribured perception of reality, productive manifestations, such as desilusions or hallucinations and passive.<br>The most common symptoms are : changes in perception, audiotory and visal hallucinations, incoherent speech.<br>People with schizophrenia often experience persistent cognitive difficulties (in memory, attention and problem solving).<br>Research has not identified a single cause of schizophrenia, it is thought that it may be caused by an interaction between genes and a number of environmental factors.<br>Medication is the corneslane of treatment for schizophrenia.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Down Syndrome<br><br><br><br>What is it? Is a chromosomal abnormality. This is the first cause of cognitive development delay of genetic origin: people with Down syndrome carry three chromosomes on pair 21 instead of two.<br><br><br><br>Children with Down syndrome are often short, have delayed physical and mental development and a specific faces. Before birth, Down syndrome may be suspected on ultrasound or in tests performed on the mother’s blood. Confirmed by chronic villus sampling and/or amniocentesis.<br><br>The majority of children with Down syndrome is incurable, but some specific symptoms and disorders caused by the syndrome can be treated.<br><br>Infants with Down syndrome tend to be more calm and passive, they cry less t-hen normal children often have heart gastrointestinal defects, and their muscles must may feel floppy. They usually have a small head, a wide, flat face, slanted eyes and a short nose. The life expectancy of those affected now exceeds fifty years on average, compared to barely ten years at the beginning of the 20th century.<br><br>Video : This video tells us about a specialized school for people with Down syndrome because of the international day of Down syndrome wich is March 21st. This school is called GiGi's Playhouse. They have specialized programs for all ages.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Parkinson's disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder, characterised by the progressive loss of certain neurons in the brain.<br>there are several symptoms such : tremors at rest, akinesia , a slowing down of movements , a lot of fatigue , blinking eyelids , walks very slowly . It is a chronic and still unknown disease.<br>The disease affects over two hundred thousand people in France. It is the second most affected neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's.<br>To combat the disease there are some treatments: medication to relieve tremors , physiotherapy sessions , Sport is necessary&nbsp;<br>These treatments do not cure the disease, but they do help you feel better.<br>If a person has Parkinson's disease, it is important not to leave the person alone as they need reassurance.<br>In order not to be left alone, there is a listening area from Monday to Friday in the morning.<br>We took as an example Mohamed Ali, a great boxer known to have suffered from this disease after sixty-one boxing bouts which upset him.</strong></div>]]></description>
