Call to Adventure

My call to adventure during the first semester was my 8th grade promotion. As I walked across the stae to recieve my diploma I realized, that middle school was over, but its the beginning of an even harder challenge... highschool.This experience is my call to adventure becuase it was like a wake up call for me to start getting prepared for my quest ahead. I didn't know what highschool would be like or what to do, but I knew I had to try as hard as I can to make the best out of it.

Crossing the Threshold

My crossing the threshold the first semester was the first day of school. I was in a new place and did'nt know much about this school. The first day of school was my crossing the threshold because highschool was a whole different world then I had been used to and I did'nt know what it could bring to me but I continued to go along for the ride.

Challenges/Temptations

My challenges in the first semester was the large amount of homework at trying to also fit in extracurricular activities to my already busy schedule. This time in the semester represents my challenges, becuase even though they were difficult to accomlish, they were just testing me for the real challenge.

The Abyss

The abyss during first semester was finals. Finals took all my energy, time, and focus to overcome. It was the most difficult time for me during the semester. This experiene was the abyss because the stress and the long nights of studying were unlike anything I had ever experienced.

Call to adventure- Katniss

Katniss Everdeen, in the book The Hunger Games, has her call to adventure when she volunteers as tribute at the Reaping, to save her sister. Katniss knows, from prior knowledge, that she is going to have a long road ahead of her. This is Katniss call to adventure becuase she must go to an unkown place to perform her quest.

Katniss crosses the threshold when she travels to the Capitol. This is crossing the threshold for Katniss because, compared to her home, the Capitol is unknown and confusing place full of people that could be her friends, or enemies

The abyss- Katniss

The abyss during Katniss adventure is the during the games. She must do anything to survive, even if that means killing innocent people. She befriends other contestants, and some are not able to make it, for example a child, Rue. What Katniss is feeling during the games is the most difficult part of her journey. The thoughts of humanity and survival clash and neither really wins

Challenges/Temptations- Katniss

The challenges that Katniss must face is the long hours of training and preparation to face death. Katniss is not the most friendly person, but she knows that in order to succeed and go home she must find allies and sponsors to help her through everything.
