         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Syntax: The way words are combined to form sentences and phrases. Ex: My daughter speaks full sentences but I have to correct her syntax; she will say "Where are the cat" instead of "Where is the cat".&nbsp;<br>-Semantics: The meaning of words. Ex: My daughter had a my first book with pictures of objects and animals. When she would see the picture of the dog she would point to our dog and say doggie. She was beginning to understand the meaning of words.&nbsp;<br>-Phonology: The sound system of language and the combination of sounds. Ex: One of the fist words my daughter said was "Baba", she was making the "B" sound.&nbsp;<br>-Morphology: How words are put together. Ex: When my daughter was younger she would say "mama go work" compared to now she would say "is mommy going to work" , she's developed a better understanding of morphology.&nbsp;<br>-Pragmatics: Correct use of language in different contexts. Ex: When my daughter was an infant I would have conversations while she spoke in "baby talk", I knew she was learning a form of conversation and social skills. </div>]]></description>
