6S have swimming on a Wednesday so children are expected to come with their swimming items in a bag.

This is monitored by staff in school and at the end of each half term, pupils who have consistently read will be rewarded for their tremendous effort.

If any parents require support getting logged into 'Boom Reader' can access this each Wednesday morning at the start of the school day.

Voices 2025, organised by our sister charity Coram Voice, is the only creative writing competition specifically for care-experienced children and young people aged 4-25. It provides a unique platform for them to showcase their creativity, celebrate their talents and shine a light on what it means to be care-experienced.

This year’s theme is ‘My Voice’. Entries can be poems, songs, raps, stories, articles, or anything else that fits the theme, up to 500 words.

Coram Voice have produced a resource pack to support anyone working with care-experienced children and young people to facilitate creative writing workshops around the theme ‘My Voice’ and encourage young people to enter. The Christian value of Honesty can be seen in many aspects of school life, both inside and outside the classroom. During Collective Worship for this half term we will be focusing on this school value and how we can show this in school and in our community.

Our focus in Collective Worship this week has been looking at the Christian Value: Wisdom. Our theme this week has been about Innovation. Our Worships this week have been looking at the Big Picture News Question: Are drones the future of delivery? This has struck up lots of discussion in Collective Worship and in the classroom by considering how, with new innovations, there are always lots of things to think about - not just speed, but also safety, jobs, and the impact on our world. Please continue this discussion at home. Ask your children the following questions: In what ways can new inventions, like drones, help people? What are some possible worries people might have about drone deliveries How can we use our creativity to make the world a better place? #LetYourLightShine💡

We are almost half way through the school academic year already. The time most certainly flies.

it is a year since we decided on our school priorities for the current academic year. As we review our school improvement priorities, we made the decision last year to always ensure that this included a parent voice. The response has seen over 70 parent responses so far. M&S are looking for inspiring designs to feature on two special pieces in their 2025 YoungMinds collection – on a yellow sweatshirt and a yellow hoodie that will be sold in M&S stores and online.
