The reference about Stanley in scene 1 that refers to him taking his shirt off in front of Blanche after meeting a few minutes before. It may sound insignificant but its the first time we see him and portrays him as uncivilized which refers to the symbol of beastly. In scene 2 their is two references the symbol of beastly first is when Stanley get aggravated when his dinner is going to be cold and like animals they would prefer warm meals, second is when he references the Napoleonic code, by the reference he made means that he is selfish which is a common trait when it comes to animals and their things. In scene 3, their is another reference Stanley being an animal first is when he is playing poker with his buddy's and Blanche turns on the radio and then Stanley gets mad and yells to turn off the radio because animals Don't understand music and its just noise to him. and then later Stella turns on the radio then Stanley get angry and turns off the radio then attacks Stella, Only animals (A.K.A. p*****) hit women over something so petty.
  In scene 4, Stella tells Blanche that Stanley on their wedding night smashed all the light buld, its just like animals they don't make no sense. In scene 5, Stanley thinks that a cheap bottle of perfume is an expensive, but just like animals they are stupid.
