Buddhism is a religion, or as some like to call it a philosophy, that believes in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, which sets the goal of life to reach enlightenment, or Nirvana, the end of suffering. They believe that one should not participate in greed, ignorance or hatred. Buddhists have different beliefs among themselves about whether there are gods or not. The believe in the good and bad consequences, but they may not cancel each other out. Like many other religion, Buddhists are strong believers in meditation and relaxation as well as rituals. The meaning of happiness is to end the cycle of reincarnation and reach Nirvana. The religion came from a wealthy Prince that gave everything up to end suffering, as his teachings spread through asia it became more popular and had a bigger system and influence.
