Specialized lipids called phospholipids<strong> </strong>make up the cell walls, serving as a barrier between the inside and outside of the cells.&nbsp;</li><li>Another function of lipids is storing energy. Each gram of lipids can store 9 calories of energy. Lipids are a very compact way to store energy.&nbsp;</li></ul>]]></description>
