Ash is a curious and enthusiastic learner. During our outdoor activity, Educator Mel and the children researched butterflies. They were able to notice the spots on their wings that look like eyes. Educator inquired on to what the spots on the wings are. Ash said, "It is used to scare the animals away." The educator asked again what would happen when an owl comes close to a butterfly. Ash replied, "It would scare the owl away." He was also able to use the word predator to describe the animals that eat the butterfly. He was able to display interest in his environment and contribute ideas to group discussions.
