Throughout the research, the topic that stood out the most was how the global economy threatens Canada’s growth prospects. This topic explained the domino effect of tariffs on the global economy, particularly during this time when Donald Trump is imposing tariffs on foreign countries, including Canada. Furthermore, it was highlighted that, even though tariffs are directly placed on Canada, the country will also experience the indirect impact of tariffs the U.S. has imposed on China. As tariffs are placed on China, this will limit China’s imports from Canada. If I were to pass on knowledge to a family member, it would be that globalization positively impacts the country’s labor force and financial capital.
